Across Generations: Carrying Their Light

Across Generations: Carrying Their Light is a reflective and creative gathering that honors the people, histories, and traditions that shape who we are. Through altar offerings, art-making, and written reflections, participants are invited to celebrate legacy, express gratitude, and connect across generations.

Students are encouraged to bring or add an offering to the community altar — an item, symbol, or written message to honor an ancestor, mentor, or community figure (past or present). The space will also feature interactive reflection and letter-writing stations, and opportunities to create personal offerings or keepsakes.

Rooted in remembrance and cultural expression, this event invites all to pause, create, and carry forward light, love, and lessons from those who came before us.
