The Babson Thai Association (BTA) is organizing a Songkran Festival event with the objective of enhancing awareness and appreciation of Thai culture within the Babson community. This initiative seeks to foster cultural exchange and build a sense of global community among students, faculty, and staff by introducing them to Thailand's most celebrated festival, Songkran. Known for its vibrant water fights, traditional rituals, and communal festivities, Songkran marks the Thai New Year and embodies values of purification, renewal, and respect. By bringing this event to Babson, BTA not only aims to provide an authentic experience of Thai culture but also to create an inclusive space where participants can engage with diverse cultural practices, thereby promoting cultural understanding and solidarity across the campus. The event will be at Rey's Patio as there will be water activities involved with this event and we aim to fundraise as part of BTA's core mission.
