Cravings of the Caribbean

This is a hands-on cooking experience celebrating how Caribbean cultures tell stories through food. Participants will learn how to prepare and assemble three iconic dishes, Dominican empanadas, Jamaican patties, and Haitian patties, while learning about their cultural roots and differences. This event is about more than cooking; it’s about sharing traditions, learning from one another, and connecting through flavors that feel like home. Whether you’ve grown up around these dishes or you’re trying them for the first time, come cook, learn, and eat with the SOCA community.
